Membership Secretary and Administrative Assistant

Jan Hughes started with the NZSA in May 2001. 

My role is dealing with the membership, new members, current members and resignations. I oversee the membership database with changes of address and emails etc. Keeping the branch secretaries updated and with members changes. There is an accounting side to the job paying creditors and receiving debtor payments and online banking. Entering all the transaction receipts and payments for the bank reconciliation to trial balance and wages. Dealing with all sorts of different queries and ordering stationery requirements. All these jobs fit into 16 hours a week. Outside this time I have commitments with my family of four. I enjoy holidays, eating out, going to the gym and reading.
