Golden Bay Live Poets meet monthly at The Mussel Inn, Onekaka. Their next meeting on Thursday 20 February at 7.30 pm features guest poet Ian Coulls from Australia.
Ian Coulls is a very strange person who distinguishes himself from many other musicians and songwriters by not wearing caps backwards and by not making ‘significant gestures’ with his hands or fingers. He is sickeningly modest, although under torture he may admit to playing music in England, France, the United States and New Zealand as well as three tours of the eastern states of Australia.
He has published three chapbooks of poetry, Danse macabre, Words, and On the Road to Somewhere Else, and three books of short stories, The Complete and Utter Truth about the World and Everything In It, Where the Hell is Heaven? and Bookends. Early in 2020, Coulls will publish another book of poetry, Leaves of Life: Words, Words, Words.
Everyone is welcome to attend or participate. Bring a poem to share, or just enjoy the show. Singer-songwriters are also welcome. Koha entry. For further information please contact Sacha Horton at 021 044 4294 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
