Nicki Judkins

Nicki has worked as a freelance copywriter for many years, and started writing fiction in 2013. She is currently writing a novel, The Full Catastrophe, the first draft of which was completed for the Master of Creative Writing at University of Auckland. This draft won the 2014 Sir James Wallace MCW Prize, and the second draft was awarded an NZSA CompleteMS grant. In 2013 she both won and was shortlisted for the Ingenio Short Story Award, and was Highly Commended in the Novice Category of the BNZ Literary Awards. In 2014 she was both Runner-up and Highly Commended for the Katherine Mansfield Award. She has had pieces published in Mslexia, Headland, Ingenio and The Spinoff. As well as her MCW (First Class Hons) Nicki holds an MA (First Class Hons) in English Literature, also from the University of Auckland.
