Angela Trolove is a writer and arts reviewer based in Ōtepoti, New Zealand.

Trolove reviews visual arts for Artzone magazine and several Dunedin galleries, and she edits for Theatreview NZ. She tutors academic writing for Studiosity and creative writing for the University of Otago.

Recently, during three years in Italy teaching ESOL and picking apples, she fell in love with the challenge of translation. Her short stories and poems have appeared in Best New Zealand Poems, Landfall, Takahē, and Blackmail Press. Her narrative nonfiction novel was selected  for the NZSA 2020 Complete Manuscript Assessment Programme.

She is currently working on a collection of narrative nonfiction. Her prose has been described as imagistic, original and engaging.
