Angela Walker

Angela Walker specialises in writing creative non-fiction. Her first book, a true Second World War story, was published in the UK in 2017.

An Olympian and Commonwealth Games gold medallist herself, Angela's next book was Ideals Are Like Stars: The Dame Yvette Williams Story, published by David Bateman, April 2022.

Her writing has appeared in Newsroom, Stuff, NZ Herald, and The Spinoff.

A runner-up in the Joy Cowley Awards in 2018, Angela went on to write AH-CHOO! - a children's picture book illustrated by Ross Hamilton and published by David Bateman, June 2023.
