Jack Ross

Jack Ross's latest work of fiction, Ghost Stories, was published by Lasavia Publishing in 2019. His previous novel, The Annotated Tree Worship (2017), was highly commended in the 2018 NZSA Heritage Book Awards. His other publications include five poetry collections  (City of Strange Brunettes - 1998, Chantal's Book - 2002,  To Terezin - 2007, Celanie - 2012, and A Clearer View of the Hinterland - 2014), three novels (Nights with Giordano Bruno - 2000, The Imaginary Museum of Atlantis - 2006, and EMO - 2008), as well as three books of short fiction.

He was the managing editor of Poetry New Zealand from 2014 to 2020, and has edited a number of other books and journals, including (with Jan Kemp) the trilogy of audio / text anthologies Classic, Contemporary and New NZ Poets in Performance (Auckland University Press, 2006-8). He has a Doctorate in English and Comparative Literature from the University of Edinburgh and works as a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Massey University's Albany campus.
