Creative Writing with Leslie McKay

Leslie’s classes inspire writers at all stages—aspiring and seasoned writers find ongoing benefits from her approach—all that’s necessary is a desire to write creatively.

She has designed some very effective exercises to get the writing flowing, so there’s no room for blocks or excuses.

Leslie’s a poet and teacher of creative writing. In 2016 she won the Caselberg International Poetry Prize. She teaches what she loves and finds success with. Her Buddhist-based writing practice has been known to leave conventional writing for dead.

The weekend begins with a social evening on Friday evening,10th of May where tutors and students can meet
each other, along with the Music and Arts committee from 7pm.

Classes run from Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 3.30pm.

On Sunday, class photos will be taken, then tutors and students are required to tidy and clean their classrooms. The committee encourage tutors and students to visit other classes to see what other students have been learning. And there’s normally a short get together around 4pm to display and share the weekends activities and achievements.

Tea and coffee will be available throughout Saturday and Sunday.
