Episode four of our new season of the NZSA Oral History Podcast is out today!
Graeme Lay is the author of more than forty books of fiction and non-fiction and many many shorter works. If you write short stories you might have read one of his, or entered the New Zealand Society of Authors Graeme Lay Short Story Competition, which is run by the Auckland Branch and held in honour of Graeme.
In 2021, Graeme spoke with Kelly Ana Morey, and they start the podcast talking about the first works of short fiction Graeme had published as a young writer.
“I had no confidence it would get published – but the story was there and I wanted to get it out.”
