Launch of Tony Chapelle latest novel, Merely A Girl, held at the Palmerston North City Library, 5.30pm, Friday 19 February.

This novel explores the difficulties faced by an intelligent young woman of mixed-race in mid-Victorian Gloucestershire, who is torn between society’s view of her as little more than a dubious marriage prize waiting to be won and her own desire to decide her own future.
