Fulbright-Creative New Zealand Pacific Writer’s Residency
Applications for the three month 2016 Fulbright-Creative New Zealand Pacific Writer’s Residency at the University of Hawai‘i are invited. The residency is available to mid-career or senior New Zealand writers of Pacific heritage to work on a project exploring Pacific identity, culture or history. One award valued at NZ$30,000 is granted each year, towards three months of writing. Applications close 1 March 2016.
Previous grantees include Sarona Aiono-Iosefa and Marisa Maepu; poets Karlo Mila, Tusiata Avia, Leilani Tamu and Daren Kamali; filmmakers Sima Urale and Toa Fraser; and playwright Victor Rodger.
