Summer Fiction School

Summer Fiction School

10am to 4pm, 3 days, 13th – 15th January
Have fun with a like-minded bunch of scribblers in a beautiful room on the waterfront this January! This is the sixth year our Summer Fiction School has run, and the course has its own unique atmosphere in this magical waterfront location.  We show you the basic writing techniques used by professionals, such as creating memorable scenes, transforming your own life experiences into fiction, choosing the right point of view, and writing great dialogue. What is the Hero’s Journey? What is Show, Don’t Tell? What is the best way to end a story? We offer a supportive group environment in which you can explore your writing ideas and connect to other aspiring writers.
More detail about this course here.

PLUS . . . Introduce a friend to either this or the other one of our two summer courses and be in a draw to win one-on-one mentoring with internationally published author and Hub tutor Robert Glancy.
Auckland novelist Robert Glancy’s books are published by Bloomsbury, London, and Bob tutors and mentors at the Creative Hub where he recently won the annual Hub Award For Most Innovative Presenter.
Recommend either of our summer courses to a friend, and let us know when they have enrolled. We will draw the prize on 30th January, and you can schedule your six hours of mentoring at any time during the following three months.
