Massey University, in conjunction with Palmerston North City Council and Community Arts Palmerston North, invites applications to join the School of English & Media Studies as Visiting Writer for a 12 week period from mid-April, 2018.

The Visiting Writer will receive a salary of NZ$10,000 and rent-free use of a downtown flat. They will have the opportunity to set aside much of this time to his or her own writing.

The successful candidate will give one public reading in our ‘Off the Page’ series, hold office hours for creative writing students, lead workshops with creative writing majors, and organise at least one event for the general public.
