Sheila Kennard is launching hew new book Sky Full of Stars: Penpals across a Century  at Page & Blackmore Booksellers, 254 Trafalgar Street, Nelson on Friday 3 November at 5.30 pm.

Harold Musson – the grandfather of Sheila’s husband Jim – wrote almost daily to his wife from the tranches of France during the Great War. In writing back to him, Sheila Kennard was able to tell him of his family and his friends, while preserving the letters as an historic document. They became ‘penpals across a century’.
