In the New Zealand Society of Authors Oral History Podcast we dive deep into the archives to hear New Zealand authors tell their story of living as a writer in Aotearoa. This week we hear from Bernard Brown, poet, NZSA President of Honour 2017-18 and Taip?r?kau member. As a respected lawyer and law lecturer, Bernard led the advisory team on contracts and royalties over twenty years and also ran writing competitions for the Auckland Branch.
Just before Christmas in 1999 Bernard sat down with Alison Gray and talked about the very beginning of PEN in Auckland almost thirty years earlier. Listen to his story on Episode 4 of our podcast.
