CLNZ – Copyright Licensing New Zealand – latest news

As New Zealand adjusts to its new ‘normal’ and begins its long journey out of the lock down stages, we wanted to share with you a number of opportunities that are currently available to New Zealand writers and authors.

Both the CLNZ/NZSA Writers’ Award and Research Grants were brought forward in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. With applications closing very soon we encourage you to apply and share with others who might be interested (more info on both of these opportunities are below).

CLNZ/NZSA Writers’ Award 2020

With only a few days left to apply, now is the time to get your application in for this year’s $25,000 Writers Award. The award was established to provide financial support for writers wishing to devote time to a specific project and to cover reasonable research expenses relating to it. In a broad range of non-fiction genre, specifically including education works, it is the clear intention of the award that a book will be published as a result of receiving the award.  Applications close this Friday 29 May at 4pm. You can read about last year’s recipient here >
