Whether you want to connect with our community, reflect, vent, or take on a new challenge, these workshops aim to provide a safe and fun way to do so. Aiwa and Gemishka of Creative Creatures arts collective led the free spoken word/ performance poetry workshops from 2-23 October.

The workshops are aimed for women of colour and rainbow communities of colour only, and are free to attend on a weekly basis. Culminating in a spoken word performance event where participants showcase the poems they have developed to friends, family and the community. These workshops aim to offer a safe space for women of colour to unpack the racialised and gendered barriers which impact their everyday lives.
