Verb had an incredible opening night on Wednesday with A Clear Dawn (celebrating this brilliant anthology) and the Verb Poetry Showcase, in which eleven Pōneke poets blew everyone away with their talent, humour, passion and imagery. And Thursday night, Verb programme at National Library of New Zealand began with ten writers each responding in varied and fascinating ways to the theme of ‘flight’. They are now gearing up for a joyful weekend featuring so many writers who will feed the minds and spirits in a very difficult year.
