Calling on artists working in all art forms – visual artists, such as photographers, printmakers, painters, sculptors, film makers or installation artists and creators such as composers, writers, poets and choreographers!
Each year Auckland Council selects an artist to live and work in an Auckland regional park. The Artist in Residence creates new work influenced in some way by the park, which the council shares this with the public.
The residency was established to reveal often overlooked and undervalued aspects of our parks through the artist’s eye. Selected artists live and work in a regional park for eight weeks and respond to and evoke that place in their work. Art created is returned to where it was made and shared with park visitors and the public.
Deadline is 18 February 2022
