AUTHOR TALK IN NELSON: CHRIS STUART

Chris Stuart will be discussing her debut crime novel For Reasons of Their Own and its upcoming sequel at Nelson’s Elma Turner Library on Sunday 6 March, 2 – 3 pm.

For Reasons of Their Own was the winner in the Best First Novel category of the 2021 Ngaio Marsh Awards. Chris describes For Reasons of Their Own as ‘the story of a tenacious, yet flawed policewoman, who finds a body in a mud-filled swamp on the outskirts of Melbourne and sets out to prove that the murder is personal and not political.’ The judges of the Ngaio Marsh Awards said the novel offered ‘… writing and characters that cry out for an ongoing series.’

They have their wish, and the sequel, The Glasgow Smile, which features some of the same characters, will be published later in 2022.

This talk is a free event, but a My Vaccine Pass is required for entry into the library.
