The Golden Bay Writers Group meets monthly in Takaka. Meet up to connect, work on writing projects and share feedback in a supportive way.

The next meeting will be on Saturday 29 October from 10 am – 12.30 pm at the  

Takaka Co-housing Project Office, 65a Commercial Street. As you approach the MSD building, coming up the stairs, the door is immediately on the right; it’s the room with the big windows facing the street. Our intention is to start promptly at 10am to make the most of the time. Please bring your own paper/writing journal and pens (or laptop) and cash koha for the use of the venue.

Within a two and half hour time frame we write for four minutes, then 40 minutes. We share writing from this time of writing together, not pre-prepared writing.
 
Our ethos as a writers group: we co-create a space to both write and share our writing and for creativity to flourish. We practice connecting in this way through listening to each other’s work and reflecting on its impact upon us rather than offering critical review. Our intent is ease, and our focus is to witness and grow our writing voices. Reading your work aloud and responding to other’s work is optional. For more information contact goldenbaywriters@gmail.com
