With everything that has been developing in relation to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we at WORD have been forced to rethink our schedule of events and how we can best serve our audience, our city, and New Zealand’s literary community.
For this reason our August festival (26-30 August) has been postponed.

We appreciate the support from our audiences who turn out to events large and small and who understand that words are important, world-changing, provocative and comforting.
*We are closely following Ministry of Health guidelines regarding the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) and will make any adjustments we need to, including on just how we deliver the events to our audience, ensuring the safety of everyone.
