This year, the Self-Publishing Advice Conference 2025 (run in association with the Alliance of Independent Authors) is inviting authors like you to enter our free Write Your Why competition.
In 500 words or less, tell us why you choose the indie path. Be heartfelt, humorous, poetic, or persuasive. Whether it’s a personal story, a love letter to self-publishing, or a rousing manifesto, we want to hear why self-publishing works for you.
Why enter?
- No entry fee.
- Open to all indie authors at any stage (including un-published authors).
- Opportunity to win prizes from ALLi Partner Members, including editorial, design, marketing, distribution services, and more.
- Top three winners selected by judges, with the overall winner revealed during SelfPubCon 2025.
