Announcing the National Flash Fiction Day 2020 online programme

NFFD NZ moves online this year! Our big day of celebrating the shortest form will still take place and include a series of readings, interviews and prize-givings.

You will find new videos posted at the Flash Frontier YouTube channel — please subscribe and follow new happenings in the flash world!  Here’s what you can expect:

Today you will find the first in our new video series: Nod Ghosh reading from her new book, a collection of three novellas-in-flash called Filthy Sucre (Truth Serum Press, 2020). We congratulate Nod, and we are happy to create this space that celebrates authors with books in 2020. Stay tuned for more remarkable readers sharing their remarkable books in this new series.

In June, we’ll share micros every day from the Micro Madness competition. The competition closes today — you still have time to submit. Send your best 100 words! Info here.
And of course on June 22 we’ll celebrate the smallest form in Aotearoa New Zealand. Watch for updates for the June 22 programme.

NFFD NZ is collaborating with NFFD UK this year to bring readings from around the world, so stay tuned for the next set of shared works. Diane Simmons, one of the NFFD UK directors, is one of this year’s Micro Madness judges — so we’ll be hearing from her in June, too.

Watch this space… new readings, interviews and more coming in the next days and weeks!

Long Lists from the 2020 competitions will be posted late May.
