ASA Virtual Literary Speed Dating 2021 opportunity – 10 slots offered to NZSA members!
The Australian Society of Authors Virtual Literary Speed Dating series are offering ten NZSA members a unique three-minute opportunity to pitch their completed manuscript to Australian publishers and agents.
This exclusive opportunity is open only to current existing NZSA members to apply to.
One entry per member only please.

How it works for NZSA Members
NZSA Members who are interested can apply via the form below
- One entry per person
- After entries close on Monday 13 September (or when limit of 60 entries has been reached), 10 entries will be selected
- If you were allocated a slot in the last round, you cannot reapply with the same proposal
- The 10 people that have been selected then pay the speed dating participation fee of $35 (to cover ASA fee, exchange rate, GST, bank charges etc) to NZSA, who will pass on the fees to ASA
- Once your entry has been submitted you will receive an emailed copy of your entry. Please check your junk/spam folder if you don’t see the email.
The successful 10 members will be allocated a 3-minute appointment, one-on-one, to pitch your completed work to your chosen publisher or agent.
The pitches will take place via Zoom videoconferencing. You will be sent an individual appointment time and a link to the Zoom meeting. At the time of your appointment, you will be admitted to the meeting ‘room’ and will have three minutes of pitching time with the publisher or agent. Read more including tips for pitching.
