Join us for the Auckland Queer Writers Anthology Kick-Off Event, and get ready to embark on an exciting journey together.
Whether you’re a pro or new to writing, we welcome you to take part in this special project. The anthology is open to all queer voices in Tāmaki Makaurau, and we are keen as to begin this creative adventure with you!

Important Dates:
- 14 June 2025: Kick-off event
- 12 July 2025: Workshop 1—Submit pieces for feedback one week prior
- 9 August 2025: Workshop 2—Submit pieces for feedback one week prior
- 31 August 2025: Final submission deadline
- February 2026: Anthology launch during Auckland Pride!
Poetry and short prose in all genres are welcome —so long as they fit the guidelines here. We’re not about perfection; it’s about progress and upliftment. What can we learn from each other as we develop our own pieces?
