Graham Spargo

I have spent a working lifetime writing. Very little of it was writing anybody read for pleasure. Technical documentation, analysis, board papers, specifications — work whose whole purpose was to be accurate and then to be used. It is a real discipline and I would like to think I am good at it.  It is a different craft however from the one I am trying to learn now, and in some respects the opposite of it. Professional writing trains you to remove yourself from the page. Narrative non-fiction requires you to be on it.

I am underway writing a book of narrative non-fiction for the general reader. The focus is on what artificial intelligence is doing to the things people depend on — work, money, ownership, truth, war, care and children.
