Barbara Petrie has published two books of poetry, Pricilla Scales & other Cautionary Tales (for children) and Farrow Night. She has also edited several volumes, notable Kiwi & Emu, An Anthology of Comtemporary Poetry by Australian and New Zealand Women.

She has a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Western Sydney and lives in Christchurch.
