Cathy Tracey
I am writing fiction on working women and how working lives empower and lead to change. I have a lean with my stories toward queer women and tradeswomen. As a queer tradeswoman I have an insight into how it is to be in a trade and be happy and successful in my work choices. It is important to have our stories acknowledged and told. I have strong interest and unconditionally see the value of oral histories and have completed oral history projects of women in construction trades.
Writing is something I have done for years with journals, poetry and short stories and it is now I have the courage and time to see where I can take my creativity and passion.
I acknowledge the support of my peers and family in all that I do especially my mother and father who accepted and were proud of who I am.
