Catherine Clarke

An ancestral heritage replete with stories of adventure, scandal, and lunacy determined Catherine’s degree in English and History. After an NZSA Mentorship and shortlisting for the 2015 Lilian Ida Smith Award, her work of historical fiction The Only Living Lady Parachutist was selected for a manuscript assessment in 2016. Catherine was shortlisted for the 2016 NZ Heritage Writing for short prose and was a finalist in National Flash Fiction Day Competition in 2013. She lives in Wellington and works as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
