Charity Norman

Charity Norman is the best-selling author of seven novels. Born in Uganda and brought up in draughty vicarages in the North of England, she spent some years in escapist travel before becoming a barrister specialising in crime, family law and mediation. In 2002, realising that her three small children had barely met her, she took a break from the law and moved with them and her kiwi husband to Aotearoa New Zealand, where she began to write. 
After the Fall/Second Chances (2013) was a Richard & Judy and World Book Night title; The New Woman/ The Secret Life of Luke Livingstone a BBC Radio 2 Book Club choice. See You in September (2017) was shortlisted for best crime novel in the Ngaio Marsh Awards, an NZ Listener and UK Reading Agency book of the Year. The Secrets of Strangers (2020) was a BBC2 Radio Book Club choice and fainliast in the Ngaio Marsh as well as Australian Ned Kelly Awards (best International Fiction). Her work has been published in a number of languages. Her seventh novel, Remember Me, was published in March 2022.
Charity currently divides her time between Wellington and Hawke's Bay. She's represented by Jane Gregory at David Higham Associates in London.
