Rangi Hapi

Rangi brings his imagination into his writing with a creative ability that has been untamed. He prides himself on being an authentic writer who has self-developed his abilities through hard work, personal experiences, and avoiding university. Rangi has always loved fantasy, and in 2017, he began his journey of discovery and began to build his fantasy world. In 2021 he decided he was ready to reveal himself to the writing world and joined the NZSA. Rangi is currently working on three projects; one is a poetry/short story saga that speaks to his identity as a Maori boy. He is also about to release the first fantasy novel, Treasures of my fathers, which combines Polynesian, Asian, and European fantasy. Lastly, he is working on a sharing breath, a more fictional tale of two worlds where he conversates with a woman born on the other side of the world who has made NZ her home. Rangi's diversity allows him to see the world uniquely and creatively, as he loves to challenge the writing norms of today.
