Emma Wood

As a former broadcast journalist, Emma Wood has always loved a good story. When she isn't writing children's books, Emma works in communications and reviews the latest kidlit titles for the Otago Daily Times.
Her debut picture book, Tulip and Doug, made headlines when New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern gifted it to Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, for his children in 2022.
Emma lives with her family in Dunedin, and enjoys the creative arts, splashing around at the beach and travelling.
