Jan FitzGerald

Jan FitzGerald (b.1950) is a long established NZ poet with publication in all the mainstream NZ literary journals since 1970 and overseas in Poetry Australia, The London Magazine, Acumen (UK), Orbis (UK), Yellow Medicine Review (USA), Atlanta Review (USA) and Meniscus (Aus.)

Jan has been shortlisted twice in the Bridport Prize Poetry Prize competition and her fourth poetry book was published by The Cuba Press and launched with Wellington Libraries 11 July, 2022. She is a full-time artist working and exhibiting in Hawke’s Bay, but she says,. “Poet is who I am, art is what I do.”
