Irene Callen - Author Profile Irene’s career as an early childhood teacher has spanned almost 50 years. She has worked in many different early childhood domains and is living history. Now she wants to write her own stories and has many to tell. Some are just fun, like this one. Irene knows children not only have a great imagination, they have a magic element about them too. So she has created a new word; ‘imagication’! Many of her stories are based on real experiences and are heartbreakingly beautiful. Some show how children empower themselves through teamwork, sharing their knowledge and supporting each other. Irene shares her own passions with the children: nature, science, inventors, and the arts. She wants children to embrace the gift of themselves. Children have an innate sense of knowing. They need space to blossom. They know they have a place in the world. Together, they walk through their learning journey; listening, contributing, exploring, problem solving and most importantly, having fun. Lifelong gifts.
