Janean works almost all the time, and otherwise stretches out the mind and body by formulating novels while bouncing a large plastic/rubber exercise ball around the house, and checking if the kids have put their grubby clothes into the washing machine yet. In terms of goals, she admits: 'I've had some success in flash fiction so far, which suits the lifestyle and is pleasantly niggly and addictive as a form.' As for larger works, one day it will all pan out.
