Julie Bates Is a published Haiku writer and poet living at the beach in Christchurch. Her work has been in various journals locally and internationally.

Her Haiku have been featured in Under the Basho, Seashells, Kokako, Presence, Finelines, Cold Moon Haiku, Wales Haiku journal and honourable mention in the 6th Morioka Haiku Competition 2024.
