Jeanette Goode

Jeanette Goode lives on the West Coast of the South Island . She is a writer and illustrator of children's fiction. Her first self published book is a picture book for older children (8-12) who are reluctant readers. It has strong environmental themes and has been endorsed by the West Coast Penguin Trust with a donation from every sale of the book going toward conservation and protection of the kororā, little blue penguins. It is the first in a series on threatened species of New Zealand.

Jeanette's second book Penguins Don't Send Postcards is the story of a lone tawaki, a Fiordland crested penguin who came ashore in the far north wounded and starving. His journey home is a remarkable story of adaption and suvival. It is a tribute to the many people along the way that made sure he had the best chance of survival.
