Johanna Emeney is a North Shore poet and teacher. She works with Ros Ali, delivering the Young Writers' Programme to talented senior students across Auckland. After 14 years in England - first, reading English Literature at Cambridge, then teaching in Norfolk - she returned home with an English husband, her best souvenir, and taught for 4 years at Kristin School. She has since worked at Massey University where she is also studying towards a PhD) as a Level One Creative Writing tutor, and on the New Kiwi Women Write initiative with Renee Liang. Her collection of poems published by Cape Catley (2011) is called 'Apple & Tree', and her poems have been published by Landfall, Trout, North & South, Metro, Sport, Snorkel, Blackmail Press and The Guardian.
