John Lovell has had published a co-written series of Secondary School English textbooks (Longman Paul), ‘Dog Attack’ – Five comic plays; and most recently ‘Mr Pip Teacher’s Guide’ (Pearson). Writes poetry, short story and novel. Particular interest in rural communities in history, agricultural methods and social history; also early Waikato settlers and what motivated them. Currently working on a rural murder novel and planning a New Zealand historical novel. Avid reader and book collector on a wide variety of genres and topics.
