Jon Tucker

Jon Tucker has published seven titles, sold in 37 countries under the Storm Bay Books banner.

His multi-layered Those Kids series  environmentally themed five novels have been acclaimed internationally by adults as well as middle-year children, and recommended by the Children's Book Councils of Australia and NZ. Two of these books were shortlisted in the top three Australasian fiction titles for the Environment Award for Children's Literature (2015 and 2019). The entire series has been awarded the LiFE (Literature for Environment) award, and Those Sugar-Barge Kids was awarded the Book Excellence Award for children's motivation.

His widely acclaimed Snow Petrel is now on its third impression. His latest title, Well-Intentioned Advice - a life voyage afloat was released in October 2023 to an enthusiastic international readership. It is a finalist for the 2024 Page Turner Book Award and has been nominated for the prestigious (UK) Maritime Foundatioon Award for Best Book. 

He also writes for literary and marine publications in NZ, Australia and UK, and shadow-wrote (and indexed) the revised and expanded edition of Blind Bay Hookers in 2022.
