Jodie Shelley

Jodie Shelley is a Kiwi author, based in Auckland, New Zealand.
She writes novels set in NZ, which are easy to read and fun, but which explore grittier themes such as problem gambling and family harm. Her debut novel, ‘The Tūī has Landed’ (February 2023) achieved finalist status in the Wishing Shelf Awards, an international book awards judged by readers in London and Stockholm. Following this success, her second novel, 'A Thousand Paper Cups' (June 2024) not only reached finalist status, but went on to win a coveted bronze award, marking another milestone in her writing journey.
Jodie's third novel 'Zoe and Mila' was released at the start of August 2025, and her fourth is in development.
