Kiri Lightfoot

Kiri Lightfoot is an Auckland-based writer for children and young people. Her first book Every Second Friday (Hodder, 2008), was a finalist in the NZ Children's Book Awards in 2009. Her first novel, Bear, published by Allen and Unwin NZ, was the winner of the Storylines NZ Tessa Duder Award 2024 and a finalist in the New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults 2025. Her latest book is Te Ngahere i te Pō The Forest at Night.
