Leanne resides in Rangiora with her husband, Phil. Growing up in rural New Zealand she developed a love for writing and the outdoors. When her abusive first marriage ended, she moved to the UK to make a new start. Through a series of God-incidents, four years later she made a trip to Canada, the one country she’d decided never to visit. There she met Phil and eighteen months later they were married. While living in Canada Leanne had the opportunity of a lifetime to accompany her park warden husband on his two week patrols by horseback into Jasper National Park. From these trips came her travelogue, Blue Creek Bride. Five years later Phil retired and they moved to New Zealand. In 2025 Leanne self-published her second book, this time a memoir called London Longings.

Leanne is passionate about her work with children with special needs. In addition, she loves reading, history, gardening, going to the movies, spending time in nature, and taking photographs.
