Lee-Anne Duncan

As a freelance writer, I’ve worked for countless magazines, media companies and public and private sector clients, providing written content for radio, television, magazines, the web, and marketing and social marketing campaigns. After 29 years of making my living through words, meeting people and bringing their stories to life continues to drive me. I love the challenge of capturing a person’s voice, delivering a compelling story, whether on the page, a website, or in a marketing campaign.

My current focus is a non-fiction book about the experience of losing a parent at a young age, currently titled It was hard, but we managed. In relation to that project, I recently completed a Robert Lord writer’s residency, and was invited to speak at the Hospice NZ National Conference 2022 in Christchurch.
