Lynda Scott Araya
My background is in education and I have worked in diverse settings; while my most recent job was as a Head of Department and Literacy Coordinator at a boys' secondary school, the job that I have found most interesting was teaching at New Zealand mens' prisons.
Along with my husband, I now co-own and manage a beautiful heritage-listed property in Kurow, North Otago where I write, usually short stories and poetry and proof-read the local historian's works.
My aim is to publish a poetry anthology, inspired by one of my son's death three years ago and I also want to publish a book that focuses on the experiences of bereavement and how to help the bereaved.
