Meagan France

Meagan France is an Auckland based writer of European and Maori descent born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. She moved permanently to New Zealand in 2005, where she has lived with her husband and two children since. Meagan writes adult fiction and poetry while somehow maintaining a small, freelance copywriting business. In 2017, Meagan completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Auckland where she was a recipient of a James Wallace scholarship. In her writing, Meagan is interested in exploring the tales and challenges of some of the more marginal and subversive voices of our times. She writes darkly beautiful and compelling contemporary prose about characters living on the periphery. Meagan is currently completing her first novel.
