Michalia Arathimos is a Greek New Zealand author. She has published short stories and poetry in several New Zealand books and publications, including Best New Zealand Fiction Volume 4, Lost in Translation, Sport, Turbine, Metro, The NZ Listener and Blackmail Press. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Creative Writing with Bill Manhire at the International Institute of Modern Letters, where she is writing a novel. She completed a Masters in Creative Writing at the IIML at Victoria University in 2006, gaining an A level pass with distinction. She was a Writer in Residence at Robert Lord Cottage in 2008, also nominated as a candidate for the prestigious Iowa Scholarship.
