NEVILLE PEAT
Dunedin-born Neville Peat is a writer of creative non-fiction (The Lark Trilogy) and numerous documentary works crossing the genres of geography, biography, history and the natural world. His 40-odd books range from Afghanistan to Antarctica. Three were read on National Radio. In 2007, he was awarded the Creative New Zealand Michael King Writers' Fellowship to write a book about the Tasman Sea, and in 2016 he won the Copyright New Zealand Writers' Award for a book about coastal impacts of climate change. He was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2018 for services to nature conservation.
