Pallas Cotter
A former Emmy-award winning television journalist, Pallas reinvented when she moved to New Zealand and is now a writer, presenter and mentor.
Pallas has published pieces (essays and poetry) in The Spinoff, The New Zealand Herald, MamaMia, Huffpost Australia, 1964 Magazine, and the Otago Daily Times as well as in Cultural Weekly, an online publication based in the USA. Her most recent New Zealand contribution was to the inaugural Elixir and Star Press grief almanac, A Liminal Gathering.
Pallas has just earned a Master of Creative Writing, Distinction, from Massey University.
Before her stint at studying again, she ran a personal development and strategic messaging consultancy, called POP: helping people and small companies with brand articulation, finding 'defining words' that describe their who, what and why through personal brand statements (for elevator pitches, CVs and on LinkedIn profiles and online bios).
She is currently working on a memoir after surviving two suicides in her family. For fun, she is working on a autofiction novel about the television news business and occasionally writes poetry and children's stories.
