    Daisy

Daisy is a novel, a historical family saga spanning from 1887 to 1974.
Set in Alabama, Harlem and London it touches on some of the evils of society like racism, poverty and snobbery, as well as family, friendship and love.

From There to Here (With an Awful Lot in Between)

This is a memoir, the story of my life. Beginning in 1951 it takes the reader on an interesting journey with many twists and turns, from an  ordinary upbringing in a council house in England, finally ending up on the other side of the world.

"Life is like a jigsaw, you have to look back on it to see how it all fell into place."

The Warrior Women, A Sisterhood of Immigrant Women

This is an anthology, an exclusive insight into the journeys of 22 amazing women from 13 different countries. Read our stories and be inspired.
If our true life stories inspire just one little girl or woman to dream big, then we will have left a worthwhile legacy.

    The Second Daisy

This is a sequel to my first book DAISY. It continues the family saga, and almost 100 years later (in 1985) picks up the story of this unusual family, a family bonded together by chance, love and respect.

    Seventy Years Worth of Travel

A travel memoir, "snippets from a colourful and interesting life".

A lighthearted book of travel memories, snippets from the old Yuogslavia in 1966, Egypt in 1992 and the Fiji islands from 1976 to Covid. Travel the world with the author, without leaving your armchair!

    VALENTINE GEORGE

This is a historical family saga, a novel, but one which incorporates the true story of my grandfathers life.

He was an ordinary man who lived through extraordinary times. From the late 1800's in the slums of London, we follow his life through World Wars One and Two, right through to the Swinging Sixties.

    LOU AND EUSTACE

This is the second book in my ANCESTORS series. A novel, based on the true story of my paternal grandparents and other ancestors. From the late 1800's to 1984. Ordinary people who lived through extraordinary times.

"His family had lived and worked in Southwark for generations. The cobbled streets, old lanes and alleyways, and the River Thames, had been his world - the only world he had ever desired."

"The Roaring Twenties were in full swing. Now, all the young women - and many of the older ones - had shortened their skirts, chopped off their long hair, and thrown away their horrible constricting corsets. Marcel waves, short bobs, flapper dresses and the Charleston, quickly became the order of the day.

THE ABANDONED WIVES HANDBOOK. A Gentle Guide to one of Life's Great Traumas.

The pain of abandonment is huge.

The partner you loved and cherished for so many years has decided you are no longer required. Past your sell by date. Of no use to them anymore, so tossed out like a piece of garbage.

In an attempt to keep this a gentle, light hearted read, this little pocket sized book is divided into letters of the alphabet, rather like a dictionary of distress, something you can dip into at any time.

I am not an expert, merely someone who has survived this great trauma and come through it as a stronger, more resilient person.

    DOT & BEN

DOT & BEN is historical fiction, the 3rd book in my ANCESTORS series. Based on my parents lives, this story, set mostly in London, spans from the tumultuous 1920's through WW2 and beyond, as their love weathers the storms of history in this poignant tale of resilience and romance.

    DIFFERENT TIMES. DIFFERENT RULES

While researching her family history in 2021, Alice makes a shocking discovery and realises that although society's rules and expectationsd have changed over the last 100 years, human beings are still exactly the same, it is just the way they are judged that is different.

This story, set in England, spans more than 150 years and takes us from a modern townhouse to an old Victorian mansion. From 1871 to 2021.
